Is it me, or did the months of June and July last about two weeks and now we’re suddenly in August? Just when I was starting to feel like I had my summer wardrobe set – silk and crochet tanks, crop tops galore, and all of the tie waist shorts and skirts you could imagine, the Nordstrom Sale hits and pullover sweaters and ankle booties are suddenly filling my inbox and Instagram feed. I’M. NOT. READY. And I might just overheat if I see one more faux fur coat on display. Not to mention HomeGoods is already starting to put out their Halloween gear, while it’s still pushing 90 degrees outside.

Needless to say, I’m hanging on to these last few moments of warm weather by parading around in flowy midi dresses, but I’m also ready to start adding summer-to-fall transition pieces to my attire! As you know, I love purchasing items of clothing that I can wear over and over again and all throughout the year. Adding a layering piece here, or statement jacket there and I’m good to go as the temperature changes!

Amazingly enough, the Who What Wear Collection top that I’m wearing in this post is the perfect transition blouse. I finally got my hands on this sought-after striped print while randomly scourging through Target’s racks. But let’s be honest, this wasn’t a random occurrence because I’m literally sashaying my way through Target’s aisles at least 3-4 times a week. Out of toothpaste, oh, I’ll just make a Target run during my lunch break to pick some up. Oh wait, these earrings are cute, and “A New Day” finally has these shoes in my size, AND this bikini top is only $16.99 – you get my point. So the fact that the Target near my job started to carry Who What Wear had me giddy! This rainbow print top immediately caught my eye and I couldn’t wait to style it.

I decided to pair my bright button down with an equally vibrant pair of white high waist shorts because why not keep the theme going? To add a finishing summer-esque touch, I grabbed my straw basket bag that I had initially bought for vacation, but haven’t had the chance to fully enjoy using it yet, and headed out for my day. Did I mention that my shoes are only $29.99 and are insanely comfortable?
